Today's Tip for Building Character in Kids: Optimism

Teaching Optimism

Today's world seems like it is full of "problems" and it is very easy to let them get the best of us. Optimistic children see challenges as temporary and manageable, which often leads to success.

Pessimistic children, however, view difficulties as unchangeable, which can lead to resignation. As parents, we play a significant role in shaping our children's outlook. If we find ourselves tending towards a half-empty perspective, remember that change begins with self-awareness. Make a concerted effort to model the optimism you want your child to adopt.
